Resolute to refocus on "The Backstage Fashionista"

What does it mean to be a backstage fashionista? This blog is dedicated to the college-educated, career-driven women whom balance life, love, happiness and fashion.  Particularly focusing on the same stylish, smart, talented and successful women who are blessed enough to become mothers. These women juggle it all and still manage to get things done while staying behind the scenes of fashion, and look fabulous doing it! (I once read, "If you want to get something done, ask a busy woman to do it.") I believe that a woman should never loose focus on herself and what makes her happy.  As a wife and mother I am partly setting the tone for my family dynamic, therefore it is important for my family to witness and respect the things I do to fulfill my life. I take care of my body, replenish my self-esteem with retail therapy and take time every night after reading to my children, to read something for myself. Wardrobe Cult of Isabel Marant

So its been 3 years of neglecting my closet due to the pregnancy, birth, and post-baby body of my two children.  Nevertheless, I am back with a vengeance and a new found cult following of the God-like Isabel Marant.  Over time I have been collecting her pieces here and there, but I find myself becoming more obsessively craving an entire wardrobe of her labels.  I am a mother now, so my new found style is effortless (literally), sexy, chic, and comfortable (in order to chase the monkeys around)... and this pretty much sums up the mental map of the Isabel Marant brand. I must also mention her clever choice in ad campaign models; My Fashion HERO, Kate Moss and the ever-so sexy, Gisele Bundchen.

With that said, It is my mission in life to find the best pieces Isabel has to offer and fully report my findings!

BTW, Isabel, if your listening....I would love to offer myself as a 'common folk' ambassador of your brand! (even though I am a self-proclaimed I.M. Ambassador in the SF Bay Area)

Who makes my fashion-addict heart go pitter-patter??

It's only right that I make my first post dedicated to my two fashion icons; Kate Moss, one of the most top earning models that estimated to have earned over $9 million in one year, and Anna Dello Russo, editor-at-large and creative consultant for Vogue Magazine, Japan.  I feel that these two women depict two sides of my fashion demeanor, which is what I like to think of as effortless (Kate) and extravagant (ADR) ... but never at the same time ;)
